Booking & timing
How far in advance should I book?
- Summer Saturdays (May–Sept): 4–8 weeks ahead. Saturday inflatable pub bookings sell out fast.
- Weddings: 2–6 months ahead — venues, dates, suppliers all need coordinating.
- Mid-week events: often available with 3–7 days’ notice.
- Last-minute panic? Always worth ringing — we sometimes have a slot from a cancellation.
How do I lock in a date?
A small refundable deposit on booking holds the date. Saturday summer dates need deposits ASAP — first paid wins.
What if I need to cancel?
Deposits are fully refundable up to 14 days before the event. Inside 14 days the deposit covers our diary slot we can’t easily refill. For weather-related cancellations (40mph+ sustained wind, severe weather warning), we offer free reschedule OR full refund — your choice.
Do you do same-day bookings?
Sometimes — depends on what’s already in the diary. Always worth a phone call.
Set-up & access
How much space do I need?
- Bouncy castle: the castle footprint + 1m clearance every side. Typical 12ft x 12ft castle needs ~15ft x 15ft of clear flat ground.
- Inflatable pub: 5m x 4m (16ft x 13ft) + 1m clearance every side. So roughly 6m x 5m of clear flat lawn or hardstanding. Apex height ~3m (10ft) — mind low branches.
What surface can you set up on?
- Grass — ideal (anchor pegs grip)
- Hardstanding (concrete, paving, decking) — fine, we use sandbag weights instead of pegs
- Indoor venues — yes, we do indoor pub set-ups for function rooms, warehouses, garages
How long does set-up take?
- Bouncy castle: 15–20 minutes
- Inflatable pub: ~30 minutes
What about access?
We need clear access from the road/driveway to the set-up location. Standard garden gates fine. Narrow stairs, awkward access points, no parking near the gate — let us know in advance so we can plan.
Do I need power?
Yes — one standard 13A socket within ~30m of where you want the inflatable. Garden socket, garage extension, kitchen window — all fine. We bring the extension cable.
Weather
What if it rains?
- Bouncy castle: light rain is fine but heavy rain is unsafe (slippery surface). We’ll talk you through your options on the day.
- Inflatable pub: fully enclosed and weatherproof. Rain isn’t a problem — your party stays dry inside.
What about wind?
The Health & Safety rule for inflatables is no set-up in winds over 24mph (Force 5). If the forecast looks marginal we’ll ring on the morning of the event to discuss. If conditions deteriorate during the day, we’ll come collect early — you’d rather a deflated pub than one blowing across the garden.
What’s your weather refund policy?
If WE have to cancel for weather safety (40mph+ wind, severe weather warning, etc.), you get free reschedule OR full refund — your choice.
Safety
Are you insured?
Yes — full public liability insurance (£5m cover). Certificates supplied on request — most schools, churches, charities, and corporate clients ask for these as standard.
Are the castles safety-tested?
All units carry current PIPA test certificates (the inflatables-industry safety standard) and all electricals are PAT-tested. We do our own checks before every hire too.
Do I need to supervise the bouncy castle?
Yes — by law and by common sense. Adult supervision at all times when kids are using the castle. We’ll talk you through the rules on set-up: max number on at once, age groups separated, no shoes, no food, no rough play.
Can you supply a supervisor?
Yes — for school fêtes, big charity events, fundraisers, corporate events. Additional fee, ring to discuss.
Drink, food, music & licensing
Can you supply alcohol for the inflatable pub?
No — you stock the bar with your own. Saves you a fortune (no markup) and lets your guests drink what they actually want. We can recommend Glasgow wholesalers if you’re catering for a big crowd.
Do I need a license for the pub?
- Domestic events on private property — no license needed
- Public/commercial events — use the venue’s existing license, or apply for a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) through your local council if needed
Can I plug in music?
Yes — Bluetooth speaker system inside the pub. Connect your phone, your playlist runs the night. We don’t supply DJs, but can recommend Glasgow ones if you want.
Payment
How do I pay?
- Deposit on booking — bank transfer or Tide payment link
- Balance on the day before set-up — cash, bank transfer, or Tide card link sent to your phone
Do you take card payments?
Yes — via a Tide payment link sent to your phone. Apple Pay, Google Pay, all standard cards.
Can I get an invoice?
Yes — for businesses, schools, charities, churches. Standard 30-day BACS terms for established repeat customers.
